Hot Fudge Cake

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1-3/4 cup hot water
Combine flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
Spread in ungreased 8 or 9 inch square pan.
Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all (don’t stir).
Bake at 350* for 35 - 40 minutes.
Serve warm with ice cream.

Yield: Serves 4 if you can bear to share
